Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 ready to hit Indian market in January

The South Korean tech giant, Samsung, is all set to launch Galaxy Grand 2, a smart handset with a lot of improvements over its predecessor. Surprisingly, the device is up for pre-order on a popular e-commerce site for INR 2,000 in India. Well, the customers who are looking to own this handset have to pay Rs 2,000 while pre-booking the device and the remaining amount after the release of the phone. which will go on sale in the month of January, 2014. But, the company has not yet revealed the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Price. However, rumours state that the smartphone will be available at a price point between Rs 22,990 and Rs 24,990.

This smartphone measures 146.8 x 75.3 x 8.9mm and weighs about 163 grams. The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 has dual SIM functionality and features a 5.2-inch HD TFT display supported by a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. It is official that the Grand 2 will be available in Black, Pink, and White colour variants in selected regions. This handset runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor. Alongside, this processor is backed with a 1.5GB of RAM memory as well. Discussing about the memory storage, the phone has 8GB inbuilt user memory and external memory can be expanded up to 64GB through microSD card for further usage.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is integrated with an 8 megapixel autofocus rear camera with an LED flash. In addition, it also has a 1.9 megapixel front facing camera that has the resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels. In terms of connectivity options, this handset has GPS or A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro USB and 3G with HSPA+ support. The handset comes with a 2,600mAh battery that will provide talk time up to 17 hours on full charge. Interestingly, this handset comes preloaded with all new Samsung popular apps like Story Album and S Translator, the company's proprietary translation service. The phone is also added with S Travel and Samsung Hub in it. Along with this phone, the company launched Club Samsung for its Indian infotainment content, which is a digital entertainment store included with 5,000 movies, 400,000 songs, 500 gigs and live TV with around 90 channels. Finally, this successor to the highly successful Galaxy Grand will hit the Indian market in the first week of January.
