The home grown bike maker, Baja Auto is all set to launch a new 125cc motorcycle, to its successive Discover line. It is new version of its new Discover 125T and the company called it as the Discover 125T. The auto maker is attempting to make a good space in the commuter segment in the country. In order to reach out to a wider audience, the two-wheeler has made host of minor tweaks to the tank graphics. Rest all has been similar to its elder sibling and the absence of a tyre hugger. The Indian consumers will get this bike in two trims, a drum brake variant and the other with the front disc brake. With the launch of new models under its successful Discover brand, the company is way up in widening its portfolio in the executive 125cc segment.
This Indian motorcycle will be offering comfort and performance and compete with Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India's Shine, the 125cc bike and the Hero Moto Corp's Super Splendour, Glamour and Ignitor. In terms of specification, this new model will be powered with the same 124.6cc, single-cylinder four-stroke and air-cooled engine equipped in the older sibling. The engine is packed with a four valve head and churns out a decent power output of 12.3bhp at 9000rpm and a peak torque at 1.1 kgm available at 6500 rpm. The engine is operated with a 5 speed gear-box with one gear down and 4 gears up shifting pattern. Looking for more, the Bajaj Discover 125T features with a set of gas charged shock absorbers at rear which is replaced by the Nitrox mono-shock.
The motorcycle is now available in showrooms with four colour options including with Brilliant Blue, Midnight Black with blue decals, Flame Red and Midnight Black with red decals. With all new modifications, the bike will be offering an improved overall fuel-efficiency of 77.7 kmpl. It has a top speed of 105kmph. The two-wheeler is packed with 200 mm petal disc at the front for disc variant and the other variant comes with 130 mm drum brake at the front and rear. It includes a 10 litre fuel-tank capacity and comes with 130mm Telescopic suspension at front and Nitrx twin 110mm at rear.
