Datsun's First Vehicle Will Be Called Go

The very first release from Datsun has been christened as “Datsun Go”. The vehicle has been named after the car model “DAT-GO”. The global head of Renault-Nissan, Carlos Ghosn declared that the Datsun Go price will be below INR 4 lakh. The DAT stands for abbreviated form of Dream, Access and Trust. It is an important part of the Nissan’s Project 88 in the upcoming years. Nissan has calculated a growth of around 60% with the launch of this car in the developing market of Indonesia, Russia, China, India and Brazil. The vehicle will be manufactured with localised content products. This will eventually reduce the overall price of the car and make it more competitive.

Crafted at the Renault-Nissan’s technical plant of Chennai, the car is one of the first releases from the set of its models. Nissan car is all set to unveil the Datsun Go at the Auto Expo of 2014. The car will begin its sale in the first half of FY 2014. Compacted with 1.2l petrol engine and accompanied with a 5-speed manual transmission gearbox, the vehicle has been designed to show similar performance results as its counter mates. While the Datsun Go features haven’t yet been released in the market, the analysts have announced that the car will feature a fuel-efficient engine with amazing interiors and high mileage performance.

The hatchback from Nissan will be around 3785mm in length having a wheelbase of 2450m. Thus, the car shares the Micra platform and its wheelbase too. You will be astounded to see the well decked features of the car. The car offers Mobile Docking System to help you connect your Smart-phone to the vehicle.Even though the interiors of the car haven’t been revealed till now but the Datsun Go pictures say a lot. The dashboard of the car has been designed similar to that of Micra. Other than this, we could only judge the steering of the car.



It looked like 3spoke steering and was far different from Micra’s. The release of Datsun cars in India will hit the potential customers who stick to the small car market. Nissan further plans to launch up to 51 variants in the international market by focussing on the extension of its production capacity in India by installing a new plant or expanding the existing plant at Chennai. However, the wait is over and the car will soon be seen on the Indian roads from the next year and nissan new Evaila car full specficitation is also out in the market.
