Yamaha Ray Z Now Launched in India at INR 48,555

Here is the news regarding the new Yamaha Ray. To contiue the success story of Yamaha Ray, the Yamaha bikes, India has launched a new version of this scooter with minor cosmetic upgradations and named it as Yamaha Ray Z. The Japanese bike maker has stated that this new Ray Z will be a more male centric model. We all know that the Yamaha has sold 70,000 scooters since the launch of the Ray, which accounts for 16 percent of the market share.

The Yamaha Ray Z pictures appeals that the device will come with more masculine appeal with exterior shades that include a combination of red and black, white and black and even an all black version. It is the second scooter offering for the Indian market with this new brand slogan and brand statement as a guide. The Yamaha Ray Z price in India has been disclosed and it is placed at INR 48,555  ex-showrooms in Delhi.

Details to specifications, it is powered by air-cooled 4-stroke 113cc engine with CVT (Continuous variable transmission) that delivers smooth start-up acceleration and good pickup. Minor up-gradations refers a aluminum rear wing-shaped tandem rider grab-bars, a new instrument panel with a carbon fiber patterned background, carbon fiber patterned seat cover material and dynamic coloring and graphics. It comes with telescopic front suspensions and a unit swing rear suspensions. Braking is well packed with both brun brake type at front and back with 130mm dia. It comes slim with overall dimensions like 1,835mm x 675mm × 1,075mm and kerb weight 104 Kg. Yamaha claims that the device has fuel tank capacity of 5 litres and 0.8 litres of engine oil volume.

The Yamaha Ray Z features a 113 cc engine that deliver a maximum horse power of 7.1PS at 7,500 rpm and maximum torque of 8.1N.m at 5000 rpm. It is also known to deliver great fuel efficiency but the company has not disclosed these details. Functionally, the Ray Z is exactly the same as the existing Ray scooter, differentiated only by a few cosmetic changes. Hiroyuki Yanagi, president and CEO, Yamaha Motor Company has stated that the company has unveiled Yamaha's new brand slogan 'Revs your Heart' on the occasion. With the new slogan, the company create exceptional value and experiences that enrich the lives of our customers. Added to this, the Yamaha also introduced two new model variations in the Yamaha SZ sport model series named the SZ-RR and SZ-S. These also carries the same price tag which includes the SZ-RR with Rs 62,500 and the SZ-S will cost Rs 59,500.
