Day by Day Indian brands like iball, Micromax, Karbonn and Lava are releasing new smartphones in the market with continuous improvement in the technology and good enough features at affordable prices. Two of such phones are the Xolo A800 which is the phone marking the Lava mobiles entry into Android on the ARM Platform and iBall Andi 4.5H which is the flagship product for iBall mobiles. But both of them have almost identical price and specifications, so let's discuss the small details into the specifications to know which one is better.
Both the devices are dual SIM smartphones running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and are low in cost. The devices are powered by 1 GHz dual core processor based on ARM A9, but something that distinguishes both of them is the size of RAM. While Andi comes with 1GB RAM, Lava Xolo A800 has only 512MB RAM which slows it down when loaded with applications. Both the devices sport a good 4.5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels which is quite high for the phones of this price range.
When talking about the camera, both of them use an 8 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED Flash which is quite a bargain to get at this price. As the handsets support 3G, the device also comes with a front facing VGA camera that can help with video calls. Iball Andi 4.5H comes with a 1600 mAh battery and on the other hand Xolo A800 comes with a 1700 mAh battery. While Xolo A800 also provides a home pick-up and drop service in case of any trouble, iBall Andi 4.5H is to be taken to a service center. Andi 4.5H comes with pre-installed apps including Whatsapp, Facebook, Opera Mini, Nimbuzz, Zomato, IBNLive, Moneycontrol & CricketNext and Xolo A800 is preloaded with social networking applications including Facebook and Twitter.
Considering some other features, both of them comes with 4GB internal storage and expandable up to 32GB using MicroSD card slot and on the connectivity front both of them supports 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Lava Xolo A800 price varies from Rs. 10,700 to Rs. 12,000 while iBall Andi 4.5H price varies from Rs. 12,000 to Rs, 12,500 with different online retailers. Considering the specifications of both the phones, Xolo A800 comes out to be a better and cheaper option except for its smaller size of RAM.
