Finally, one of the biggest car producer in the country the Maruti Suzuki India Limited, has launched the facelift version of one of the most saleable hatchback Maruti WagonR in the country. It is also expected that this amazing car would be seen on Indian roads with diesel engine option around Diwali in 2013. Lets take a look at sales figure of Indian market, what we will see is that Indian car market is flooded with hatchbacks. At present majority of sales constitutes of hatchbacks. Basically the Indian car market is a hatchback car market. At present almost each automobile company has launched its hatchback, to maintain its firm grip over the market.
Maruti WagonR is available in the country in six different variants all offering petrol engine trims. Maruti WagonR price is tagged at Rs 3.50 lakhs for the base variant of the car whereas it ranges up to Rs 4.37 lakhs. If we take a look at new Maruti WagonR pictures, we will notice that this time this amazing hatchback car has been upgraded with a new grille which is little narrower as compared to the grille in earlier version of the car, this time grille contains a single strip with nicely placed emblem on it. Car has also been upgraded with all new bumper with larger air darn and newly designed and well placed fog lamps. This was about the front fascia of the car which looks more attractive and nice as compared to the older model of the car. If we take a look at the interiors of the car then car has got a new dual tone dashboard, the LXi and LX variant are even available with dual coloured seats. Now if we talk about the top variant of the car, VXi which is integrated with eagle wings audio system with USB support, which makes car more amazing and especially for music lovers.
Maruti WagonR features 1.0 liter KB10 petrol engine, with an displacement of 998cc. Car also features an five speed manually transmitted gearbox. Engine is capable enough to produce the power of 67.06bhp @ 6200rpm with a torque of 90Nm @ 3200rpm. Car can accelerate from 0-100 in just a time gap of 15.9 seconds with a top speed of 148 kmph. Car is also providing a decent mileage of 14.2 kmpl on city roads and 18.9 kmpl on highways, but if shifted to CNG variant it offers a mileage of 15.5 kmpl on city roads and 20.2 kmpl on highways.
