Hyundai the Korean auto manufacturer has announced the price hike in all of its models from February 2013. Recently Maruti Suzuki has also announced the hike in all of its car available in the country, it is also expected that all other companies will also announce the increase in their prices very soon. Last year in December all the auto companies were offering huge discounts on their cars. Which was the best time to purchase a new car. Major reason for such hike in car prices is continuously decreasing value of Indian rupee and an increasing input costs, which is decreasing the revenue generated by the companies. Inflation has forced the auto companies in the country to increase their car prices. If we take a look at Hyundai cars then company has announced the hike of around Rs 20,000 on all the models offered by the company from starting range of Rs 2.77 lakh. Which is the price of its cheapest variant Hyundai Eon. And this increase will be also applicable up to the top price range of Rs 25.43 lakhs for the top model Hyundai Santa Fe a SUV. This range include all the cars like Hyundai i10, i20, Hyundai Santro Xing, Elantra, Sonata, Verna.
This was about the Hyundai cars Maruti has already increased the car prices up to Rs 20,000 on all of its 14 cars available in the market. Not only Maruti and Hyundai but other car companies are also increasing their car prices. If we take a look at other car companies then the latest entry in Indian car market by the French Auto giant, Renault motors. As said it has been expected that Renault India will increase car prices by 1.5 percent on its complete line up. If we take a look at the luxury car market then the globally ruling car company Mercedes has announced the rise of 1-3 percent on its complete line up.
Although in Indian Mercedes is at third position after BMW and Audi. It is also said that Toyota motors will also soon announce the hike of 1-2 percent on its line up. And none other then Mahindra and Mahindra the ruler of Indian SUV car market has also announced the 2.5 percent on its line up.
