Audi RS 6 Avant gets performance updates

The German Luxury car maker Audi has recently unveiled the first ever diesel sports utility car and now it has extended the trend to the RS 6 Avant. However, the company has down rated the engine for this car to make it more safer yet powerful with attractive performance. The company has took out the 5.0 liter twin turbo engine and replaced it with a 4.0 liter twin turbo TFSI engine that makes it more safer. This will also help it to become more economical compared to other car as it can now deliver a mileage of about 12.24 Kmpl. Although, the engine of this vehicle is just 4.0 liter, there will be no compromise in terms of performance because of the advanced technology used to design it. According to the company provided details, the engine of this car can churn out a power of about 552Bhp along with a torque of 700Nm, which is far superior compared to any other vehicle in its segment. Now the vehicle is equipped with an 8 speed automatic transmission gearbox, which will boost the power transmission.

There is a lot of improvement in terms of body design of the new Audi RS 6 Avant. According to the company, the body of this vehicle goes about 100Kgs lighter than the previous model, which will obviously boost the fuel efficiency and performance. Now the new Audi RS 6 Avant has got improved power to weight ratio because of the light material used in it. There is no word from the company regarding the Audi RS 6 Avant price or regarding its features. The company might reveal the Audi RS 6 Avant features on the day of its launch. Audi is planning to introduce Audi RS 6 Avant first in UK and later to the rest of the world. This car will be made available in India in the second quarter of 2013 and will join the portfolio of Audi cars sales. According to trusted sources, the car is said to carry a price tag of Rs. 68.5 lakh, which is fairy decent.
