Indian auto-market is thriving. SUVs, MPVs, compacts, crossovers and luxuries are coming in everyday and spreading their charm over the native crowd. Nobody can possibly ignore the pace at which the craze of new and innovative car-designs is escalating in the country. Especially in the sports and multi-purpose segments, a pure tornado is on the loose at the moment. Just a few days back fresh sports segments like mini-sports utility and sports tourer were introduced for the first time in India. Such fanaticism is the very factor that has led the Japanese auto-giant to bring around two new reforms of its famous MPV, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Unveiled at the 2012 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) on 22nd September, Ertiga Crossover and Sports are the latest concepts by Maruti Cars.
While the Maruti Ertiga price and engine specifications for the new concepts are yet to be made official, Maruti Ertiga pictures speak a great deal about the exteriors. Both the crossover as well as the SUV get a more muscular build along with a host of trendy and stylish features that add a spark to their attire. For the crossover, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets a totally made-over front fascia. A stylish new honeycomb grille in all-black paired up with a larger and wider blacked-out air-dam, clusters of day-time running LED lights placed right below the huge headlamps, a short and sloping hood that blended smoothly into the newly styled bumper and fresh bumper inserts – every little detail has been worked upon very beautifully to bring the car up-to-date with the prevailing trends. In the mean time, the side profile of the crossover receives new side skirts in classy black with larger wheels, the top gets a new pair of roof rails while the rear end gets to flaunt a redesigned bumper aside from twin tail pipes. The sports version, on the other hand, gets a new rear-end roof spoiler along with other cosmetic tweaks to enhance its sporty appeal. Maruti Ertiga Automatic launch in 2013.
Although there is nothing that can be said for sure about the Maruti Ertiga crossover, rumor has it that the sports model will be driven by the same power mill that propels the Ertiga MPV and Maruti Ertiga confirmed to come in 6 variants. Irrespective of the in-depth specifications of these new models, there is a very strong possibility that both will be arriving in India too. India being one of the key markets for the Japanese car-marque for years, has shown a tremendous response for Ertiga LUV. And that is what makes the producers as well as car enthusiasts believe that the new avatars will also have a brilliant future in the country. Maruti launches dedicated website for Ertiga.
