Honda bikes are famous for their ultra smooth engines with good power. Honda has already made a mark in sports bike segment and some of the world wide known Honda bikes are Honda CBR 1000 R, Honda CBR 250 R and many others. Honda CBR 1000 R is one of the top selling super sports bike. Honda launched 250 CC version of Honda CBR in Indian Market in year 2011 and it is doing quite well in Indian market. Honda's new model of CB 500 will be launched in India in year 2013. Honda CBR500 features a 470 cc, parallel twin cylinder, four stroke, liquid cooled engine. Performance figures of Honda CBR500 are excellent, its 470 cc engine produces maximum power maximum power of 47 bhp and produces maximum torque of 40 Nm. Engine of Honda CB500 is integrated with 6 speed manual gear box and it is a light weight bike and will somewhere around 181 kilo grams. CBR500 will have top speed of about 160 kph. Frame of Honda CBR500 is of tubular type, braking duties are performed by discs at front and rear and suspension of CB500 is a telescopic fork.
Honda CB500 and Honda CBR 500 might have same engine. CB 500 will be a naked bike while CBR 500R will be will be fully faired bike. Main competitors of Honda CB500 will be soon to be launched Kawasaki Ninja 400 R and Ninja 650 R. Honda CB500 will be manufactured in Thailand and it will come to India via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) kits and will be assembled in India, in future Honda may produce CB 500 in India which will bring down its price significantly. Honda CB500 is aimed at touring enthusiasts and commuters.
Honda CBR500 Price in india are not out yet but speculations are that it will cost around 3.75 lakhs Ex – Showroom, it will be a good package at this price. Honda CB500 Pictures are out and bike looks promising aesthetically, it is still unknown in which color combinations Honda C500 will be available. Honda CB500 will be first launched in Thailand then it will be launched in other markets. Launching date is not known yet for Indian market but speculations are that it will be launched next year that is 2013, by 2013 there will be many rivals in Indian Market which will give tough competition to Honda CB500 like twin cylinder KTM 375 Duke and Bajaj Pulsar 375 CC.
