Bajaj Pulsar 220, Hero Karizma ZMR and Avenger 220 give equal mileage

The technology work in the manufacture of bikes is rapidly growing and we can clearly observe this with the introduction of 220cc segment that has made people to move on from the 180cc segment. This new segment will be absolutely better and advanced than the other and holds a good stand as a performance biking segment. At the moment, there are three two wheelers which possess this 220cc segment and they are Bajaj Avenger 220 DTS-i and Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i, and Karizma ZMR from Hero motocorp bikes, which also happens to be very famous in this performance biking segment in the country. Let us now take a look at the features and specifications of these three promising bikes, which can turn out very useful for bikers particularly when the cost of fuel is constantly rising.
Mileage is the first thing which a biker takes into consideration. Pulsar and Avenger 220 DTS-i provides mileage of about 42kmpl and 43kmpl respectively, while the number comes to 42kmpl for Hero Karizma ZMR. Coming to the technical specifications, both Pulsar 220 and Avenger boasts the engine 4 stroke DTS-i engine type whereas Karizma have the 4 stoke engine. The engine displacement for Karizma is 223cc and for Pulsar and Avenger is 220cc and 219.89cc respectively. The common specification for all the three bikes is the air cooling system and comprise of single cylinder. The highest power given by Karizma is 17.84PS at 7000Rpm. This highest power of Bajaj Pulsar 220 is 21.04PS at 8500Rpm and Avenger gives power of 19.03PS at 8400Rpm. The torque of Karizma totals to 18.35Nm at 6000Rpm whereas Pulsar gives out torque at 19.12Nm at 7000Rpm and Avenger gives 17.5Nm at 7000Rpm.
Wet multi plate clutch and 5 speed gears are available in all the three bikes. Bajaj Pulsar have a telescopic and anti-friction suspension at front and 5 way adjustable Nitrox shock absorber at rear. Bajaj Avenger 220 comes with telescopic forks at front and hydraulic shock absorber at rear while Karizma ZMR boasts the front telescopic hydraulic shockers and the rear 5 step adjustable IGRS suspension. Pulsar comes with the 260mm front disc and 230 mm rear disc brakes. Avenger 220 compirse of 90/90 X 17 brakes with unidirectional tubetype at the front and 130/90 X 15 with unidirectional tubetype at rear. Karizma has 80/100 – 18 front brakes and 100/90 – 18 rear brakes. Price is an important factor for customers and the price of Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTS-i comes to around Rs. 83,134 and Bajaj Avenger 220 DTS-i at Rs. 45,943 approximately. Hero Karizma tops both these bikes when it comes to price and it costs around Rs. 94,000. The prices of all these bikes are as per the ex-showroom prices in Delhi.
