New Premier Rio Diesel BSIV Launched at Rs. 6.7 Lakhs

Premier launched the awaited car, a compact SUV Premier diesel version with an ice breaking price tag of Rs 6.7 lakh. The deliveries for the same are expected to start from the month of August. This version of the SUV joins the league of other premier cars. The new premier Rio has been the topic of discussions for the car lovers ever since the Delhi Expo, which was held in January this year. The New Premier Rio pictures can be seen displayed all over the web these days and more queries are emerging each day. The launch of this Premier Rio is built on the fact that the sales of SUVs in India have shown a responsive growth. But not too many common people are aware of that the country’s first mini SUV has been launched. It was partly due to the reason that the Premier RIO was not up for sale in the metro cities. Lack of BSIV engines and limited service network from the manufacturing plant in Pune has been courted as the main causes.

The car is now available for sale both in diesel as well as petrol. Premier has also revived its ties with Fiat to increase its sales of this Rio. The premier Rio has always been a best player in the market but now the new Fiat engines will give them the much needed boost. The new premier Rio is a vehicle which is perhaps based on the Chinese model which was called Zoyte Nomad and is currently being sold with 1.2 litre BSIV petrol and 1.5 BSIV of diesel. New Premier Rio features include a fiat engine of 1.3 litres that has the capabilities to generate 72bhp and 183 Nm of torque. This power is similar to those in the Swift, Vista and probably Ritz. The mileage of this vehicle is estimated to be 19kmpl. And with the increasing demands of the diesel vehicles across the country the launch of Rio could not have been better. Here I also shared that Premier Rio powered by Fiat's 1.3-litre diesel engine to launch on August 02, 2012.
There are not going to be many changes in the exteriors from the model than that was presented in the Auto Expo of January. The New Premier Rio price is set among the cheapest SUVs in India i.e. at 6.7 lakhs. However owing to the fact that premier is trying to create reputation for its product and also, it has lack of wide sales network, thus, it will be bit difficult for them to penetrate deep in the Indian market. But, with the positive New Premier Rio review being published in the market, Premier is looking forward to increase its sales post the launch. Currently Premier is supposed to have 55 dealers across the country and is planning to increase this number later this year. Volvo S60 to Lock Horns with BMW 3 Series in the Battle of Domination.
