TVS Apache RTR 180 features review

TVS is one of the well known brand in India bike segment. This company recently dissolved its partnership with Suziki Motors, which lasted for over two decades. Now TVS will be producing vehicles under its own brand name in India. Recently, TVS bike manufacturer has launched a new 2012 version of its popular Apache series. All the three variants of Apache amely Apache 160, Apache 180 and Apache 180 ABS is revamped with all new racing design and packed with advanced technology. The main highlights of the updates are a new headlamp cluster that features LED pilot lamps, and a redesigned fuel tank. The latest changes for the Apache series includes a carbon-fibre look shroud for the digital instruments and a revised seat.


The comapny has also annaounced the prices of the 2012 Apache series and The new 2012 TVS Apache RTR 180 price is to be Rs. 72,090 at Ex showroom Delhi and TVS Apache RTR 180 ABS is priced at Rs. 82,780 in Ex showroom Delhi. The TVS has unchanged the engine of the upgaraded Apache series. The TVS Apache RTR 160 is capable to deliver a maximum power of 15.2 PS and the Apache RTR 180 churning out 17.03 Ps of maximum power. The new Apache RTR 160 is available in four dual tone colours which includes green, red, yellow and grey with black as the base colour. The revamped Apache RTR 180 is also available in four colours such as white, yellow, grey and black and the ABS version is available only in white and black. The revamped Apache bikes is laoded with a instrument cluster with blue backlit which makes the bike to look sportier.


The TVS Apache RTR 180 features with a seat cowls which is angled and along with the sharp styling of the engine cowl which gives the bike a impressive look. The TVS also claimed that the top spedd of the the reveamped Apache RTR 180 will reach up to 124 kmph and thw Apache 160 can reach a speed up to 118 kmph. As per the official report the TVS Apache RTR 180 is capable to deliver a mileage of around 40 to 45 kmpl on city roads and 50 kmpl on highways. Whereas, TVS Apache 160 delivers an average fuel efficiency of 50 plus kmpl. The revamped versions of Apache series ensures with sharp braking systaem with its  roto-petal discs on front and rear end. The Apache RTR 180 is available in ABS version, which delivers high performance and better riding experience. The Anti-lock Braking System technology is an integration of a HECU, Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit and Independent Wheel Speed Sensors that ensures to determine when a wheel is likely to get locked.
