Honda Brio vs Nissan Micra Which of Them Would Impress the Buyers?

The hatchback industry of the country’s automobile market is so unpredictable and there is something or the other happening. Every now and then this segment is always buzzing with activity, which is either a launch of a new vehicle or a new trim gets added. A few automobile experts have stated that this segment is the biggest money spinner as compared to any other segment in the car market. We are here to make a comparison between a couple of very stylish and admired hatchbacks, which have been doing well for their companies. The hatchbacks in discussion are Honda Brio, which is from the reputed stables of Honda India in comparison with Nissan Micra, which is a top selling model of Nissan cars.Commencing the comparison, we will take a look at the prices of both these vehicles as the hatchback segment is majorly based on the price.

The Honda Brio Price is Rs. 5.20 lakh, while the Nissan Micra Price is Rs. 4.78 lakh (both prices ex-showroom New Delhi). The difference is not that big, but it will still affect the buyers as these hatchback cars are mostly bought by the middle class families. Moving on to the exteriors of these hatchbacks, the Nissan Micra Pictures reveal a dynamic front façade with a large and luminous headlamp cluster. The sides are smooth while the rear is compact and gives a cute shape to the body. Alternatively, Honda Brio is pretty looking with low slung body and a striking front, which is complete with a neat looking grille and nicely shaped head lamps with a pair of round fog lamps integrated in the front bumper as visible in the Honda Brio Pictures. Looks wise both of them are striking and it is quite difficult to say which of them is better. Both these hatchback cars are fitted with impressive comfort features, but Honda Brio has air quality control and a multi functional steering wheel with mounted buttons and adjustable head lights, which is missing in the other car. While Nissan Micra has an adjustable steering and outside temperature display, which is absent in the Honda Brio.

The engine of Honda Brio is an 1198cc i-VTEC petrol car engine with 4 cylinders that can generate 88 Ps along with 109 Nm. Whereas the Nissan Micra is fitted with a similar 1.2 litre engine with 3 cylinders that can churn out a power output of 76 Ps and 104 Nm of torque. Both these hatchbacks give a healthy mileage of 14 to 18 Kmpl within the city limits. In conclusion, the Honda Brio is a little powerful than the Nissan Micra in terms of the engine specifications. But at the same time, Nissan Micra is bigger and a slightly more spacious than its competitor. All the other aspects are in these hatchback cars are comparable, so the final decision lies between a slightly powerful engine or a little bit of extra space. This will be a personal decision that can be decided by the buyers depending on their personal requirement. Meanwhile, quite a few other upcoming vehicles such as Tata Safari Storme, New Chevrolet Captiva, Renault Duster, Audi Q3, Premier Rio Diesel, New Hyundai Elantra, BMW 3 Series and Volkswagen Jetta petrol are expected to be launched in the Indian car market very soon.
