Mercedes Cars have been always acclaimed for their fabled designs and ultimate luxury combined with utmost comfort across the world. Mercedes Benz India, which is the Indian arm of this German automobile giant, has launched the face lifted version of their SUV, 2012 Mercedes Benz ML 350 CDI. The company which makes elegant and stylish luxury vehicles will be expanding their fleet of SUVs in the country with this addition. This New Mercedes Benz M Class SUV is looking bigger in size than the older version and also has a big front bonnet and a massive radiator grille, which is making this SUV look muscular. There have been some notable changes to this new SUV, which can be seen in the 2012 Mercedes Benz M Class pictures. A remarkable addition is the panoramic sunroof, which is giving this powerfully built SUV a suave and debonair look. Apart from this, the interiors have also been refurbished to make it look flamboyant and sporty.
The engine has also been tinkered a little and this 2012 Mercedes Benz ML 350 CDI will now have a 3.0 L, V6 diesel engine with a capacity to churn out a maximum power of 258 Hp with a pounding torque of 619 Nm. This powerful engine has been skillfully mated with a 7-speed, G-Tronic, automatic transmission gear box for smoother gear shifts. This SUV car has a kerb weight of 2,175 Kgs, but even with such a massive weight on it, this dominant engine can take this SUV to a top speed of 224 Kmph. With its bigger size, this new 2012 Mercedes Benz ML 350 CDI is claimed to take on any terrain in the Indian continent with utmost ease and minimal effort.
The final 2012 Mercedes Benz M Class price for the CKD model is Rs. 56.90 lakh, while the price tag of the CBU model is Rs. 66 lakh (both prices ex-showroom New Delhi). The price of the CBU model is expensive as the company is bringing in these SUVs in the car market as a completely built unit. With the Indian government increasing the excise duty by 2% in the union budget announced this year, it is affecting the price of this new version of 2012 Mercedes M Class. On the other hand, the CKD model is said to be assembled at the Mercedes Benz India’s facility at Chakan, which is based near Pune, Maharashtra. Meanwhile, several other SUVs such as Tata Safari Storme, New Chevrolet Captiva, Renault Duster, Audi Q3 and Premier Rio Diesel are also waiting for their upcoming launches said to be in the coming weeks.
