Maruti Swift Dzire Price Hike; Will it adversely effect the top selling sedan?

Maruti India is said to be the largest automobile maker in the country and selling amazing cars since year, 1983. The company in its stables has some of the Most Popular Cars ever made in the history of the country’s car market. Maruti India is in the news always with some car launch or for their stupendous sales. Here again the company is in the news as they have further increased the Maruti Swift Dzire Price in the range of Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000. During the union budget announced this year by the Indian government, all the Car Price in India had been increased to a certain level. This is the second price hike on this model line by the company as they are unable to bear the high input costs.
This price hike is going to be effective from the 1st of May and this price hike will only affect the diesel trims of this new version of Maruti Swift Dzire. However, the price of the petrol trim, which is starting at Rs. 4.88 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi), will still remain the same. This charming and compact sedan car was launched earlier this year and has generated an overwhelming response from the customers. The company claims that this stylish sedan has been doing close to a whopping 15,000 sales every month and Maruti India is expecting it to continue with the same form. It has beaten all its competitors such as Toyota Etios Sedan, Tata Manza and also the Mahindra Verito by a huge margin since it has been launched in February this year. Maruti India had specifically designed this new 2012 Maruti Swift Dzire sedan under 4 meters, so they don’t have to pay the extra duty, which is being paid by the cars which are more than 4 meters Iength.
Maruti India is also going to launch a couple of other cars as well in the coming future. Their trendy and very popular hatchback car, Maruti Ritz is going to be revamped and introduced in the car market very soon. Along with this, their best selling Maruti Swift is also anticipated to be launched in a new Sports version by the company in the coming future. In the interim, several other SUVs and sedans such as Tata Safari Storme, New Chevrolet Captiva, Renault Duster, Audi Q3, Premier Rio Diesel, New Hyundai Elantra, BMW 3 Series and Volkswagen Jetta petrol car are also going to be launched in the coming weeks. I recently shared that Renault Pulse Petrol version Launches at Rs. 4.25 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi) and Dazzling Maserati Gran Cabrio a Sheer Driving Pleasure.
