Honda Aims to Curtail Hero Motocorp Growth Run

After breaking a long partnership with Hero, Honda is going to launch its entry level Honda Bikes or in specific - Honda Dream Yuga in the Indian two wheeler market. This bike will directly be competing with Hero MotoCorp Splendor. Honda Dream Yuga along with other five models was displayed at the Auto Expo, held in New Delhi earlier this year. The new bike is expected to come into market by May or June 2012. 110 cc Honda Dream Yuga price will be around Rs. 46, 000 [Ex Showroom - Delhi]. Looking at the Honda Dream Yuga pictures, this new vehicle from Honda seems to be simple, but comes with some eye catchy features like alloy wheels, self start, and is available in many vibrant colors. Honda Dream Yuga Reviews state that it would be capable of producing maximum power of 9 BHP at 8000 rotation per minute and a peak torque of 9m at 6000 rotations per minute.

For additional driving comfort, Honda Dream Yuga has been fitted with telescopic suspension on the front end, which adds more stability to the motorcycle. If we move towards the rear end of the vehicle, we can see that the rear suspension is a coil spring type. Though Honda has incorporated high end breaking system in Honda Dream Yuga, with 110 drum on the front as well as on the rear end, but this vehicle definitely lacks disc brakes. This bike from Honda comes with wide tyres. The vehicle is fitted with a tyre size of 70/100-17 on the front and on the rear end the tyre size is 80/100-17, which provide additional road grip and also reduces the probability of slipping.

We have to wait and watch how this new dream machine from Honda would curtail the selling rate of Hero MotoCorp vehicles. There is also a news that Honda is planning to launch Honda Cbr600rr in the near future. Honda Cbr600rr is reckoned as one of the most selling vehicles across the globe in the mid weight segment. Honda Cbr600rr earlier did not support some of the features for being a top end racing bike, but recently has included some additional features, which have pushed this vehicle into sports bike segment. Honda Cbr600rr is expected to get launched in Indian market by the second quarter of 2012, and is expected to have a price tag between Rs. 6 Lakhs [Ex Showroom - Delhi]. I shared that Hero Motocorp Maestro Price and Specifications and Harley Davidson to Vroom Indian Roads with Its Superbike Line Up.
