Toyota Corolla Altis lower variants get the sought-after automatic transmission

Toyota is renowned name in the automobile sector and  one of the top selling brands across the globe, its Indian wing Toyota India is also doing well with some popular models like Toyota Innova in its fleet. Another popular model by this Japanese carmaker is Toyota Corolla Altis, and reports are that the automajor has decided to offer automatic gearbox in the lower variants of this model as well. This globally popular model is doing well in India and with a petrol engine it is still managing to be among the top sellers in the Indian car markets D segment.

The recent surge in demand and consecutive growth in the segment has several car makers pulling up the socks so, Toyota is also trying to make the most of the situation and so it has decided the lower Toyota Corolla Altis G variant , which is known as G (HV) will also have the automatic gearbox which till now only adorned the VL variant of Toyota Corolla Altis. The official announcement in regards to the price of the improved and enhanced Toyota Corolla Altis G (HV) variant is that it will now bear a price tag of Rs. 13.7 lakh, which is considerably cheaper when compared the high end Toyota Corolla Altis VL price in the range of 14.95 lakh.

But given the price it means that this lower end variant will not meet up the standards of the VL variant that is jam-packed with numerous lavish features along with a choice of automatic gearbox. Rather the trade experts have said that the firm has in fact removed several luxurious addons from G (HV) variant of Altis. So, now this model will have no leather upholstery even the electric seats and the retractable rear sun shade have been removed. Features like keyless entry, xenon headlamps, and half wood trim on the steering wheel and start/stop button have also gone missing in this new lower variant of the D segment Sedan.
