Diesel cars are on huge demands these days. Call it Petrol price hike or something else, but ultimately what we are seeing right now is big temptation towards diesel cars. No matter if it is a top end car makers or just hatchback seller all are trying to mull diesel version of their cars. Following the series of introduction of diesel cars the Honda India is also steeping in this segment of diesel cars. A few months ago the auto group has declared to come with diesel cars for its entire line up, but seeing the present condition, it seems that the car maker can’t wait anymore. As per the reports the auto group is working to bring in diesel version of it cars.
As for now the company is planning to introduce a diesel variant of its most popular hatchback Honda Brio in Indian market. However exact date of launch of this small car is yet not declared but it is hoped to be slated for launch by the third quarter of 2012. Looks on reports the Honda India is testing its newly developed technology common rail i-DTEC on the Brio and is planning to ornament it in 1.2-litre version. Talking about Honda India’ operation in India, it started its beautiful journey in 1995. Talking about the current fiscal year the auto group suffered a 27% sales dive in first 9 months. Two reasons are said to be lying for this. First is the presence of natural calamities in Japan NAD Thailand which made operations on hold and other is nonavailability of diesel cars in Honda’s portfolio. But the upcoming situation of the group is surly going to be good with the entry of diesel cars and it is hoped that the Honda India ill take its previous position back in India.
