After creating the happening environment on the first day of Indian Auto Expo 2012 by various car makers, it is Renault India who sizzles the second day of event by unveiling its all new compact Renault Duster SUV just after the launch of Renault Pulse hatchback. K.Nakamura, Executive Vice-President of Renault SAS and Mr. Marc Nassif, MD of Renault India has done this prestigious unveiling of Duster SUV at the Auto Expo. The compact sports utility vehicle Duster is the another classy product from the Renault India which will be locally developed for the Indian and the foreign markets as well.
Renault India, the French auto major, used the phased out Renault Logan platform to construct this classy SUV and there are huge similarities between the two models. Renault India is working very hard to provide a much appealing looks to Duster SUV and one can easily identifies there efforts on the macho-looking Duster despite of its compact size. Renault's strategy for Indian automotive industry has been apparent ever from the opening regarding the diesel power mill options. Renault Duster is powered by a 1.5 L diesel power-plant which is directly lifted from the out-dated Logan sedan. According to company officials, Duster will hit Indian shores by the time of country's festive season Diwali. We already seen the introductions of two compact SUVs, Ford EcoSport and the Maruti XA Alph concept. Ford EcoSport likely to be priced at Rs. 7 to 9 lakh and it would be interesting to see the high voltage competition between the two compact sports utility vehicles.
Additionally company also launched its much anticipated small hatchback Renault Pulse in Indian auto industry at the Indian Auto Expo 2012. Company launched Pulse hatch in two different variants, RXL and RXZ, and powered by diesel mill only. Pulse get a price tag of Rs. 5.77 lakh.
