Renault offers Pulse hatch at Rs. 5.77 lakh

Renault India, the French auto maker, has just launched its all new compact car Renault Pulse in the Indian automotive industry at the eve of 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi. Earlier Company had unveils this much awaited hatchback at the country's first ever Grand Prix race and since October 2011 car buyers are waiting for this car. Now the wait is over and Renault Pulse is all ready to hit Indian roads. The most interesting thing is that the hatchback has been launched in diesel version only in two distinct variants – Renault Pulse RLX and Renault Pulse RXZ. Renault Pulse priced at Rs. 5.77 lakh for the RLX variant and Rs. 6.25 lakh for the RXZ variant. With Pulse hatch Renault is also offering a 2+2 years of warranty or 80,000 Kilometers.

Renault Pulse is powered by a 1.5 L DCi diesel power mill which is capable of delivering an excellent mileage of 23.8 Kmpl. Renault Pulse is manufactured at the company's Chennai manufacturing plant in Orgadam which it shares with Nissan India. The Pulse hatch shares the same V-platform which is used by Nissan's Micra Hatch. The pulse get its power from an all-diesel K9K engine which churns out 64 BHP of top power at 4000 RPM and 160 Nm of max torque at 2000 RPM. This compact hatchback looks aggressive and except front fascia it appears quite similar to Micra hatch. The interiors and the dashboard context also has a striking similarity with Micra.

The high end model of the hatch, RXZ, comes loaded with numbers of features including start and stop switch, smart access key for lock and unlock, automatic climate control, sensor for auto lock and unlock for rear mirrors, gear knob, weather defogger with timer, 15 inch alloy wheels etc... The base model, RLZ, sports power steering, power windows, central locking, integrated audio system etc.. Additionally, Renault also unveils its all new compact Duster SUV which will hit Indian shores by the end of year.
