Ranbeer, Katrina at Auto Expo 2012

Star studded events are a success in India and 2012 Auto Expo is no exception. Indians always opt for those products that are endorsed by a celebrity. So, this edition of the expo saw numerous top personalities belonging to the film fraternity. They not only brought the stardom to the Expo but also increased its popularity among the masses. Some prominent bollywood celebrities who were seen at the expo are 'Rockstar' Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, John Abraham, Lisa Ray and Amitabh Bachchan to name a few. Ran Kapoor who is the brand Ambassador Nissan India, was here to endorsed a few models by the car maker. The auto major that is successfully launched Nissan Micra and Sunny for India are now venturing into the MPV segment, with their new model, Nissan Evalia MPV.

This impressive was launched by latest heart-throb of the cine world, Ranbir Kapoor. There was an astounding uproar among the spectators when Nissan Evalia broke covers, though some may attribute it to the vehicle but as is the trend Indian audiences just love anything endorsed by their favourite stars.Other celebrities that graced the occasion included Katrina Kaif and Lisa Ray who were at the Audi’s stall to promote their model the Audi Q3. This model is slated for a launch towards the third quarter of 2012. A brand that has become synonymous with grace and pious got a befitting endorsement by these beautiful actresses.

Another celebrity, intelligent actor and director, Farhan Akhtar pulled the wraps off the new Mercedes-Benz M-Class. As Akhtar is known for his offbeat films, he was the ideal celebrity to promote this imposing luxury off roader. This vehicle houses a powerful 3.0 L V6 engine under the hood. He was accompanied on the stage by the eminent writer Chetan Bhagat. The writer seems to be a great car enthusiast who was not only actively participating at the event, but also gave an insight to his followers with his tweets on the social networking site. Finally the India’s first and only sports car Avanti was launched by the Big B of Indian Cinema, Amitabh Bachchan. This model was designed conceived and conceptualised by Dilip Chabria, the founder of the domestic Automotive firm DC Auto.
