New Innova launched at Rs 9.40 lakh, Fortuner facelift at Rs 19.9 lakh

Auto Expo 2012 started witnessing a flurry of new cars launch and different car makers has already created an electrifying atmosphere at the event that Kickstarted today. The leading car manufacturer, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the latest versions of its two flagship models that are Toyota Innova and Toyota Fortuner with an overflow of visible changes. Toyota India bring in a totally revamped exteriors which includes a newly designed grille, new pair of headlamps design which is comprehensively carried out to the rear side of the car as well to look more stunning and dynamic ever before.

Toyota Innova price for base variant is tagged at Rs. 9.14 lakh and goes up to Rs. 13.19 lakh for the top end variant. Toyota India decided to further increase the production of its one of the most selling multi purpose vehicle in a step forward to shorten up the waiting period of the MPV which now holds a hefty time span of over 3-4 months. The new Toyota Innova is revealed in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version of the car is powered by a 2.0 L 4 cylinder petrol engine that produces 132 PS of maximum output power and 181 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel variant of the car houses a 2.5 L diesel powertrain that is capable of generating a peal output power of 102 PS and 200 Nm of top torque. The all new Toyota Fortuner is the another SUV model the auto biggie launched for the sporty car lovers in India, which is again bundled with lots of changes along the exteriors and interiors of the car.
In fact the main motive behind this changes is to offer more variants for ample options to the car consumers in India. Toyota Motors India also introduced the 4x2 variant of Fortuner which was missing before and car comes with a new price tag of Rs. 19.99 lakh. Company had launched Toyota Fortuner with all-diesel 3.0 L D-4D engine which belts out 168 BHP of top power and 343 Nm of peal torque. The engine of the car was mated with a five speed manual gearbox which is completely free from an automatic gearbox despite the Toyota Fortuner price of Rs. 20.5 Lakh.

I happen to like the price of the Innova in Asia. It is worth the money as the AUV is an all around work horse.
