Mahindra showcase Reva Electric NXR at Auto Expo 2012

In between the flurry of launches and unveiling by car makers, Mahindra & Mahindra, the undisputed king of utility vehicles, has displayed its all new new Reva NXR at the 11th edition 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi. Since Mahindra's possessions of the electric car manufacturer Reva electric, the domestic auto biggie has been engineering experiments with its electric cars. One can easily see this efforts on Reva NXR, showing the fearless expertise of the company in the field. Today is the second of auto event and many electric cars have making their ways in Indian auto industry.

The new Mahindra Reva NXR escort way all the drawbacks from the Revai and company improved the performance of the car. This new electric avatar of Reva NXR will deliver an extra-ordinary fuel economy of 160 km per single battery charge which translates to Rs. 3 for every 9.60 Km of travel. Car comes equipped with li-ion battery which enhances the overall performance of the car, as car reaches at a top speed of 80 km per hour. A growing demand for fuel efficient cars in the Indian car market and Reva would serve all the needs of country's crowd. For Mahindra India pricing will be the deciding factor whether Reva will taste success in India or not.

Mahindra Reva NXR electric price in India is yet to be announced, but it is likely to be priced at Rs. 4 lakh.Reva Electric is a two door hatchback and car comes equipped with user friendly technologies which will provide better driveability and comfort for the user. The exact launching date of the car is yet to be announced by the company and it is expected to hit Indian roads by the end of year 2012. Additionally company also unveils Manza hybrid, Rexton SUV, Korando SUV at the Auto Expo 2012.

I really do hope that they optimize electric car models enough for it to break through mainstream release. The oil prices are getting too out of hand.
