Range Rover Evoque debut in India

Despite the slowdown in  the car market, the car makers continue to launch the new cars with a hope to ramp up their sales. And, heres another example; Tata Motor’s British subsidiary, Jaguar Land Rover has pulled the wraps off their new crossover Range Rover Evoque in India today.  Its closest competitors BMW X3 and Audi Q5 sell for much lesser price in the premium SUV segment. Range Rover Evoque price starts at Rs 44.75 lakh.

But, it is observed that the high price is not stopping the Range Rover Evoque enthusiasts from purchasing the car. The crossover already had 50 bookings under its hat. Those who are late in the race will have to face the prolonged wait time on the first-in first-out basis. The crossover however does not disappoint its fans boasting of plenty of safety and comfort features on the platter. The package of safety features are included as any premium SUV with 6 airbags, ABS and ESP and does not compromise on the passenger safety at any cost. Another worth mentionable feature, the Traction Response System is featured in the crossover to offer maximum grip on the roads in all the terrains.

The Range Rover Evoque crossover is offered with a petrol and diesel engine with the  2.0 L Direct Injection turbocharged petrol engine under the hood to produce a peak power of 240 Bhp and 350 Nm peak torque. The common rail turbo diesel engine has the capacity to generate a top power of 190 Bhp and a high torque of 420 Nm. The 6-speed automatic gearbox is a standard in the petrol and the diesel variants to pump the power on the wheels efficiently.
