The Toyota Etios twins will come fixed with a 1.4 L D-4D common rail turbosiesel engine which also serve in Toyota Corolla Altis diesel. Toyota India is going to reduce the power of the Etios twins to 68 bhp from its earlier 76 bhp oil burners. The reason behind this power dip is not known, especially in the current competitive era where everyone is looking to deliver high power with their device. Although the Etios twins share the same engine with Toyota Corolla Altis but the twins have a fixed geometry turbocharged diesel engine instead variable geometry turbo engine. This fixed geometry leads in better production of maximum power and peak torque.
