Honda Brio all set for a September launch

Honda Motors is one of the popular car manufacturers in India. Many cars of this brand can be seen running on Indian roads. Honda Motors has launched cars only in premium segment. Now it wants to try the hatchback market that is dominated by Maruti Suzuki India and Hyundai Motors.

Honda Motors is going to make an entry into the hatchback market through their new car Honda Brio. As per our sources, Honda Motors has planned to launch Honda Brio in the month of September 2011. As per our close sources, the Honda Brio price will be between 4 lakhs to 5 lakhs.It is also speculated that the manufacturing of Honda Brio will start at Noida plant near Delhi and then it will be shifted to Tapukara plant in Rajasthan.

If sources are to be believed, the Honda Brio specifications reveals that Honda Brio will be powered with a 1.2 litres i-vtec engine which will generate the power of 89 BHP. The capacity of the engine is 1198cc. The gearbox consists of five speed options and will give a mileage of 20 kmpl. The Thailand bound Honda Brio gives a mileage of 20 kmpl and Honda Motors expect for the same on Indian roads. Other features reveal that Honda Brio will have the length of 3610 mm, width of 1680 mm, and height of 1475 mm which make the car easy to handle. The rear seats can be folded to provide the more boot space for baggage.

The price of Honda Brio is expected to be between 4 lakhs and 5 lakhs which will be the cheapest car ever launched by Honda Motors as Honda Motors is known for its cars for premium segment. As Honda Motors has realized that the pricing conditions of Indian car market, the company has planned to launch the car for the hatchback segment so that it can be easy for more people in India to buy the cars.
