Aroma mobiles have launched three new handsets into Indian market, Aroma AD111, Aroma AD222 and Aroma AD334. The handsets were launched on February 9th 2010. The exact prices of the handsets are not yet available. The three handsets are of bar form factor. There are no differences in between these three handsets except in few features. All these handsets are of dual SIM compatible. The handsets support GSM 900 / 1800 Mhz in both the SIMs and they are also having dual standby. The dimensions are of 112 X 51.4 X 14.2 mm (Aroma AD111), 109.5 X 47 X 10.5 mm (Aroma AD222) and 107 X 48 X 17 mm (Aroma AD334). They also weigh 90, 89 and 92 grams, respectively. Aroma AD111 Aroma AD111 has got a 2.4 inches QVGA display screen, with 1.3 mega pixels camera and image resolution 1280x1024 pixels. It also got digital zoom, video recording etc. It is also having multi format music player. The video player also supports multiple formats. The connectivity is through USB, GPRS and Bluetooth. There is a provision for memory expansion also. It can be expanded up to 4GB. This handset doesn’t have any EDGE compatibility or Wi-Fi. Aroma AD111 The other two phones are also having the same features as that of the AD111. But, in Aroma AD334, there is no camera in it. Comparatively, it is the cheapest amongst the three. All these handsets run on JAVA platform. Since it is a basic and cheap phone, there are not much features to be boast of except that it got excellent battery backup. The Aroma AD334 is the best handset when compared on the basis of the backup. It is giving 15 hours of talk time and a standby time of 45 days. The rest two also gives good talk time of around 4-5 hours. There are many handset manufacturers in the nation, who launched many cheap handsets. These small companies always start with low end phones and later on they will bring on high end. So it is just to know the response from the market, they are launching these handsets. There are many other companies like Maxx, Micromax, Beetel etc to compete with the Aroma in this low-end segment and the company expects to have good competition as the trend is in such a way that, the cheap china phones are also the favorites.
