Royal Enfield plans to produce 10,000 bikes a month

India's one of the leading two-wheeler manufacturer, Royal Enfiled is planning to expand their production capacity at 10,000 units a month in the upcoming years. After the successful launch of two most popular motorcycle brands - Royal Enfield Bullet Classic 350 and 500, the company getting wonderful response from the Indian auto market. The demand of both Bullet Classic 350 and 500 growing tremendously well in the country. After getting huge demand of motorcycles from the Indian buyers, the company looking forward to increase production capacity by the next few years. “We will be continuously looking to ramp up the capacity, even up to 10,000 units to meet excess demand, for which we are looking at options of setting up a new manufacturing facility,” Eicher Motors managing director and CEO Sidhartha Lal told reporters on the sidelines of the India Economic Summit. The average production capacity of Royal Enfiled is around 5,000 per month, but in the last quarter, the company manufactured around 4,000 units of motorcycles per month, which is lower than the average capacity of 5,000 unites. Sidhartha Lal said that we will be reached again to the 5,000 units a month mark by nest year. Ducati Diavel ready to launch in India

Its time for Indian bike enthusiast to celebrate as the Italian bike manufacturer will soon launch its big devil, Ducati Diavel in India. The recently launched Ducati Diavel is finding its way to Indian markets. With a 162bhp, 94lb/ft of torque and weight of 210kg/463lbs (dry) is adding new definition to cruisers. The bike is a muscular monster, unchained to take the roads away. It is equipped with a three mode ride by wire throtte and a slipper clutch that makes a 240-section rear. With a little more spice to the Diavel segment there is Ducati Diavel carbon variant which appoints carbon fiber bodywork with Marchesini wheels to trickle the weight down to 207kg/456lbs. Coming to the most controversial part of the bike, the excessive bulky size and the exceptional size of the back tire, Ducati comments, “A massive 240 section rear tyre was a perfect example of how Diavel designers used a no-compromise attitude when applying their wish list of features. The sheer width of rubber communicates so much power and style that the R&D team vowed to find a way to make it handle – even if they knew the image would send a seismic shock through the industry.” Diavel is the local dialect for 'devil' and true to its name the bike gives you the feeling of the real devil unchained to show the real power. Keeping i mind the cruiser tradition, this model is accompanied with a low seat height with just 30.3 inches. Coming to the tail side of the bike, under it are placed LED taillights. The headlight is rakish with the looks similar to Monster's. The neatness in design can also be sen in the placement of license plate. Ducati Diavel is loaded with a 50mm Marzocchi USD forks which are fully adjustable. The steering lock is available at striking 70 degree. Which means that the Diavel would be maneuverable at low speeds. The rear shock is placed horizontally underneath the engine and are fully adjustable. Brembo Monoblocks breaks are used in the bike which measure 320mm front discs. The front wheel measures 3.7×17” with a 120/70-17 Pirelli but when it comes to rear it is created at a sport profile with a massive size of 8×17” rear wheel and 240×45-17 tire. Ducati has done a real tough job on Diavel and it is evident from is looks. The review of this monter is badly awaited in Indian markets.

Nokia X2-01 appears on Net, is a S40 based QWERTY phone

The specifications and features of Nokia X2-01 are doing rounds on Internet. Though nothing is official, we know that Nokia X2-01 is a Nokia C3-01 look alike in many ways. Nokia X2-01 is supposedly a Nokia S40 phone with a hardware QWERTY keyboard just as Nokia C3 but differs also on some fronts. This is not a 3G handset and is 2G-only. It sports a 2.4" QVGA landscape display screen (unlike the touchscreen in Nokia C3-01) and other features like microSD card slot, FM radio and Bluetooth. Nokia X2-01 is a cheap mobile phone and even its predecessor was so nothing much is expected from Nokia X2-01 as such with Wi-Fi module removed and many more features lacking in it. The wait is on for the release of official specs so as to confirm the features of X2-01. This entry level QWERTY S40 phone works as GSM phone. Its camera is superior to that of Nokia C3 and is of 3MP (instead of a 2MP snapper in C3) and yet there are no rumours that it enjoys Wi Fi capabilities also. C3 have Wi Fi but Nokia X2-01 lacked it and only enjoyed two dedicated music and messaging keys. The rumoured features of Nokia X2-01 are discussed here below. Display of Nokia X2-01 gives 320×240 pixels resolution and screen is sized at 2.4" and is QVGA TFT type. There is a QWERTY keypad in it and it physically measures 119.4×59.8×14.3 mm. S40 based Nokia X2-01 weighs only 114g and is available in Grey, White, Red and Purple colours. It works on GSM / GPRS / EDGE networks in configuration of 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. There are built-in games in the phone and it is expected to support Java MIDP2.1 applications. For music lovers, it has a built-in FM-tuner and internal memory of 42 MB can be easily expanded via microSD slot to store data, music files etc. For connectivity purpose, the handset has USB and Bluetooth. We hoped that this was Nokia X2 successor but that phone is much superior with 5MP camera and cool music playback features. The price details of Nokia X2-01 handset is not known but it seems that Nokia wish to bring more and more QWERTY phones for the masses making such phones accessible for budget buyers.
